6-Hour All-Day Adventure: Fish, Cruise & Chill

Get ready for the ultimate day on the water with our 6-hour private charter! We're talking non-stop action from sunup to sundown. You'll be casting lines, cruising the coast, combing the beach for shark teeth, and kicking back on a secluded stretch of sand. It's the perfect mix of fishing, exploring, and straight-up relaxing. Bring your crew (up to 3 guests), pack a cooler, and let's make some memories!

What's On The Agenda?

This ain't your average fishing trip, folks. We're going all out with a full day of water-based fun. We'll start by wetting some lines and trying to put you on some of our local favorites like sea trout and redfish. But that's just the beginning. Once we've gotten our fish fix, we'll cruise the coastline, giving you a chance to soak in the views and maybe spot some wildlife. Then it's time to play archaeologist as we hunt for shark teeth – a favorite pastime around here. To cap it all off, we'll drop anchor at a private beach where you can swim, sunbathe, or just chill with your toes in the sand. It's your day, your way!

Rods, Reels & Good Times

We keep things simple but effective out here. We'll be using light tackle setups perfect for inshore fishing. Think spinning reels loaded with braided line, paired with sensitive rods that'll let you feel every nibble. We'll rig up with a mix of artificial lures and live bait, depending on what's biting. For the shark tooth hunt, all you need is a keen eye and maybe a small sieve if you want to get fancy. And for the beach? Just bring your sense of adventure (and maybe some sunscreen). We've got everything else covered, from the boat to the fishing know-how.

"Amazing Inshore Trip with Captain Kim! We had an incredible time on the water with Captain Kim! He put us on multiple species, including red drum, speckled trout, and some massive sheepshead!" - M

Fish in the Crosshairs

Sea Trout: These silvery spotted beauties are a staple of inshore fishing. They're known for their speckled patterns and their willingness to hit topwater lures, making for some exciting visual strikes. Sea trout tend to hang around grass flats and oyster bars, and they're at their most active during the cooler months. Anglers love 'em because they're not just fun to catch – they're delicious too!

Redfish: Also known as red drum, these copper-colored bruisers are the bulldogs of the flats. They've got a distinctive black spot on their tail, and they can grow to over 40 inches long. Redfish love to cruise in shallow water, often with their backs out of the water (we call that "tailing"). They're around all year, but fall is prime time when they school up in big numbers. Hooking into a big red is like trying to stop a freight train – it's a fight you won't forget!

Bonnethead Shark: Don't let their small size fool you – these mini sharks pack a punch! Bonnetheads are the little cousins of the hammerhead, growing up to about 4 feet long. They've got a distinctive shovel-shaped head that sets them apart. You'll find them cruising the shallows, especially in the warmer months. They're quick, they fight hard, and landing one always gets the adrenaline pumping. Plus, they're a blast to catch on light tackle!

Lock In Your Lines

Alright, let's recap what you're getting with this 6-hour slam: world-class inshore fishing, a scenic cruise, a treasure hunt for shark teeth, and your own private beach getaway. It's the whole package, wrapped up in one awesome day on the water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just looking for a unique way to enjoy the coast, this trip delivers. Spots fill up fast, especially during peak season, so don't sleep on this one. Grab your crew, book your date, and get ready for a day you'll be talking about long after you're back on dry land. See you on the water!

Redfish

Redfish, or red drum, are hard-fighting inshore favorites. Look for their trademark spot near the tail and coppery color. They love shallow water - sometimes you'll even see their backs out of the water! Find them around oyster beds, grass flats, and other structure in 1-4 feet of water. Reds grow fast, hitting 28-33 inches in just a few years. The biggest ones push 50 pounds, but 5-10 pounders are more common and a blast to catch. They'll hit just about any bait or lure, but topwater lures in shallow water are my go-to for explosive strikes. Try walk-the-dog style baits like Skitter Walks early morning or evening. Redfish put up a great fight and taste amazing too - mild, sweet flesh that's great on the grill. Just remember to check local regs, as they're carefully managed in most areas.

Redfish

Sea Trout

Bonnethead sharks are unique little fighters, typically 3-4 feet long with a distinctive shovel-shaped head. You'll find them cruising shallow coastal waters, bays, and estuaries, often in small groups. They're most active in warm months but head south to Florida in winter. Despite their shark status, bonnetheads are pretty chill - they mainly munch on crabs and small fish. Anglers love targeting them for their spunky fight and abundance near shore. To hook one, use a sturdy rod with 20-pound test line and a wire leader. Fresh blue crab chunks make killer bait - just thread the hook through a leg to really get their attention. Patience is key, as they can be a bit shy. Once hooked though, hang on tight! These little sharks punch above their weight class and will give you a run for your money.

Sea Trout

Bonnethead Shark

Sea trout, also called spotted or speckled trout, are popular inshore targets. They're sleek, silvery fish with distinctive spots and typically run 14-24 inches, though some monsters hit 40 pounds. Look for them around grass flats and shallow waters, especially at night. They love to chase shrimp and small fish, making them fun to catch on artificial lures. Jerk baits, topwater plugs, and soft plastics all work well. In winter, they school up in deeper channels. Sea trout put up a good scrap and are excellent eating - just be careful not to overcook the delicate white meat. One local trick: try trolling slowly along grass edges if you're having trouble locating them. These fish are prized for both sport and table fare, offering a great mix of action and flavor for anglers of all skill levels.
